Vehicle Warranty and Emissions

A vehicle modified by the use of performance parts and tuning may not meet the legal requirements for use on public roads.  Use or installation of performance parts and tuning may adversely affect the drivability and reliability of your vehicle, and may also affect or eliminate your insurance coverage, factory warranty and new OEM part warranty.  Performance parts are sold as is without any warranty of any type.  There is no warranty stated or implied due to the stress placed on your vehicle by performance parts and our inability to monitor its use, tuning or modification.

Product Returns

Focus Motorsport takes great care to ensure our customers receive the proper products to suit their individual needs. For any number of reasons, a purchase may not meet those needs and may require an exchange or in some cases a refund. You are encouraged to contact an Focus Motorsport Representative prior to returning a product as you may find additional information about the product and related products helpful.

We are happy to accept your returned merchandise so long as the following criteria are met:

  1. All returns must be pre-authorized by contacting an Focus Motorsport representative at 619-635-6858
  2. All returns must be sent in AFTER contacting Focus Motorsport for an RMA number.
  3. Once that RMA number is given the following form must be filled out before shipping the product back: Focus Returns Form
  4. Returns must be sent to the address below
  5. All returns must be received by Focus Motorsport within 30 days of the date in which the product was shipped
  6. All returned merchandise must be in new, unused condition and in the original package or box.
  7. All returned merchandise must be shipped with the Focus Motorsport issued Return Authorization (RA) number clearly marked on the exterior of the shipping carton or other packaging.
  8. Special Order items will not be accepted for exchange or return unless previously authorized by an Focus representative.
  9. Focus Reserves the right to require a 15% restocking fee for all returns that are not damaged or incorrect.

Please be sure to adhere to the criteria specified above as any return that does not will be ineligible for credit or exchange and will be refused or returned to the sender.

Shipping charges for returned merchandise are the responsibility of the customer.

Original shipping costs are not refundable.

Exchanges are subject to product availability.

Limited Product Warranty

This warranty applies to Focus parts and begins on the invoice date of part purchase and ends twelve (12) months or 12,000 miles from that date, whichever occurs first. Due to the variety of modifications and changes made to cars and/or engines that may affect the performance or durability of related components, Focus’s obligation under this warranty extends solely to the repair or replacement parts manufactured by Focus.

All warranty returns must be pre-authorized by contacting Focus at 619-635-6858. Parts deemed under warranty will be repaired or replaced by Focus at no cost to the customer. Payment of the cost of labor related to said repair/replacement is at the sole discretion of Focus and will only be covered by Focus where the Focus part or parts were originally installed or service was performed at the Focus facility located at 2754 S Santa Fe Ave, San Marcos, CA  92069. Labor/service performed at any other facility is at the sole discretion of that facility and is excluded from this warranty.

To file a warranty claim, Focus or the authorized dealer must be notified and the vehicle and/or part must be brought to Focus or the authorized dealer within seventy-two (72) hours of discovery of the defect, where feasible. Any returned merchandise shipped to Focus must be shipped with the Focus issued Return Authorization (RA) number clearly marked on the exterior of the shipping carton or package. Shipping charges to and from Focus are the responsibility of the customer.

To file a warranty claim, the part must be returned with proof of purchase, the customer name and address, type of car, year, odometer reading, and VIN number, the installation and removal date of the part, and the date the part was delivered. No claims will be considered without the aforementioned information and the original Focus part. Return freight charges must be prepaid. Collect charged returns will not be accepted. All parts replaced under warranty will become the sole property of Focus Motorsports.

Exclusions

Parts showing evidence of misapplication, abuse, misuse, improper maintenance, neglect, alterations from their original configuration, or failure to follow installation instructions are expressly not covered by this warranty. Focus reserves the right to make changes to products, or specifications at any time without obligation to modify earlier parts. No person, company, or other organization is authorized to assume for Focus any warranty responsibility or make binding judgments regarding warranties of any parts, which from time to time may become subject of a warranty claim.

The Focus Limited Product Warranty further excludes the following: Transportation and shipping charges, towing and rental car charges, damage to a component or assembly due to installation of replacement parts with specification(s) that differ in any material respect from the original vehicle manufacturer’s or Focus parts, damage resulting from the modification of an Focus part, damage resulting from the use of other manufacturer’s products in conjunction with Focus’ products or systems, damage to clutch or transmission components, maintenance services and parts when replaced during maintenance such as spark plugs, lubricants, fluids, engine tune-up parts, replacement filters, coolant and refrigerant, mechanical adjustments or repairs which result from normal wear and tear, drive belts, light bulbs, damage due to the failure to perform maintenance services at the specified intervals or in accordance with the instructions in the owner’s manual from the original vehicle manufacturer or Focus product instructions, damage attributed to negligence, improper installation, improper treatment contrary to the instructions in the owner’s manual from the original vehicle manufacturer or Focus product instructions, damage resulting from improper or contaminated fuel, damage to a Focus component as a result of a collision or repair, any vehicle/products operated and used in a competitive event, custom designed competition parts, incidental and /or consequential damages, including loss of time, inconvenience or loss of the use of the vehicle.

Focus’ Limited Product Warranty applies only to Focus vehicles and Focus products sold and installed through Focus Preferred Dealers and Installers.

Limited Package Warranty

This warranty applies to Focus packages and begins on the invoice date of part purchase and ends twelve (12) months or 12,000 miles from that date, whichever occurs first. Due to the variety of modifications and changes made to cars and/or engines that may affect the performance or durability of related components, Focus’s obligation under this warranty extends solely to the repair or replacement of a package or packages manufactured, installed and/or sold by Focus.

All warranty returns must be pre-authorized by contacting Focus at (847) 709-0530. Parts/packages deemed under warranty will be repaired or replaced by Focus at no cost to the customer Payment of the cost of labor related to said repair/replacement is at the sole direction of Focus and will only be covered by Focus in the event the Focus part or parts were originally installed or service was performed at the Focus facility located at 2754 S Santa Fe Ave, San Marcos, CA  92069. Labor/service performed at any other facility is at the sole discretion of that facility and is excluded from this warranty.

Shipping

United Parcel Service (UPS) is Focus Motorsports’ standard carrier. Shipping, insurance and handling charges are added to the invoice and are the responsibility of the consumer. Expedited shipping services are available at additional cost.  The shipping charges indicated at “checkout” are based upon the actual weight or “DIM weight”, depending upon the size of the package.  Actual shipping charges may vary from the reference rates provided at checkout but will be specified on the Focus Motorsports invoice and confirmation email following submission of your order.

UPS does not ship to PO Boxes.

APO and other Military address’ may be declined. Please contact Focus Motorsports for further information.

Canadian Addresses: Applicable GST and PST fees and all other duties and taxes are not assessed by Focus and are the sole responsibility of the customer upon entry into Canada. These fees are to be paid to UPS directly as a cash-on-delivery payment. International Canadian issued credit cards occasionally cannot be verified by address. These instances require a secondary form of payment. Please contact Focus Motorsports for further information.

Other Foreign Countries: Focus has many international dealers who will happily process your order for Focus products. If you do not have a dealer (click here to find dealer) local to you, purchasing direct is acceptable. Focus cannot accept international credit cards. For international purchases, Focus requires a bank wire transfer. All applicable fees, duties and taxes are not assessed by Focus and are the sole responsibility of the customer. Billing and Shipping Address:  The “ship to” address must match the “bill to” address. Focus can only ship to the credit card’s billing address. Please be sure to notify your financial institution of your most up to date address. There are no exceptions made on this particular policy when paying via credit card.
